Be Set Free

"You Are Not Alone"

Do you struggle with depression? Depression many times is taboo or not talked about in the church. We believe that our church is a place for the broken, weary, and depressed. Journey with us as we walk through our hurt into healing. Be encourage, "You Are Not Alone."

The video below is referred to at the end of the sermon. We finished with this song while having the opportunity to pray for one another.

Buried Brokenness- Jesus Heals

In part 2 we take a look deep inside our souls to find the root cause of our depression. This process gives Jesus full access to the buried brokenness in our souls. Jesus came to bind the brokenhearted so we may be healed of all things including depression. Be healed in Jesus name. Jesus heals depression!!

Depression and Worship- A Vital Link

There is a vital link between your depression and the act of worship. As we see by the example of David, when our soul aches we worship. When we wait on the Lord, we worship. When God lifts us up our of the pit He gives us a new song to sing. We worship in our personal life but we also worship in community. Fight your depression with arms high and hearts abandoned.

Depression- Tearing Down Strongholds

A Stronghold is a spiritual fortress where evil (the enemy) hides and is protected within our spirit. These fortesses exist in our thought patterns and ideas.

In 2 Corinthians 10 Pauls tells the Church that we tear down strongholds with the weapns and strategies of God. So we tear down all strongholds including the stronghold of depression and we take every rebellious thought captive and make it obedient to Jesus!

Depression- Running From Your Call

We can become depressed when we run from the calling Gad has on our life. We take a look at the life of Jonah, as he ran from his calling and experienced depression. Take courage God doesn't change your call if you mess up, the call stays the same. Are you living in your call?
